Power Transmission in UT of Ladakh
Presently, the task of power transmission is assigned to a mix of UT,
Central and public undertakings. The inter-state transmission at 220 kV
level from Srinagar – Drass – Kargil – Khaltsi – Leh is looked after by the PGCIL. The four new State –of Art 220/66KV Gas Insulated Sub-Stations built at Drass, Kargil, Khaltsi and Leh will help to
ensure 24X7 quality power supply in all weather conditions.
